Training Philosophy
Our services are designed to provide safe, effective, and individualized training plans that are geared to foster desirable and beneficial skills for the world you and your pets live in.

Training Philosophy
At Camille's Companion Animal Training we use theories and methods solely based on credible scientific evidence, kind and compassionate care, and positive reinforcement based learning. We do not foster nor utilize aversive, punitive, or outdate methods, theories, ideologies, or tools. This extends to both the animal and human species. Our ultimate goal is to provide professional and supported services where a safe space for open communication, dialogue, and achievement of desirable goals is garnered.

When kindness, current education, and compassion are put forth, we see a beautiful result of happiness, fulfillment, and harmony.

As such, Camille's Companion Animal Training does NOT utilize methods that include:
- shock collars (electronic collars)
- prong collars
- slip leads (choke leads)
- electronic fencing
- yelling
- physical force and/or corrections (of any kind)
- punishment of any kind
*or anything that implements aversive protocols (physically, emotionally, or otherwise)

- gradual and gentle exposure protocols
- addition and inclusion of desirable reinforcement
- safe and ethical management strategies
- training plans that focus on the overall well-being of the animals, being based on current science that is peer reviewed, and supported by professionals
- encourage clients to always ask questions, and feel empowered to openly communicate and express needs
- continued personal education of credible sources, to build upon safe, ethical, welfare-focused, and effective services
